*1 Japan is a country with a national health insurance system. In order to enable students to pass their time in Japan
without worrying about what would happen if they became ill, everyone who is granted alien registration must
enroll in the national health insurance system. An insurance certificate is issued upon enrollment; 70% of
examination fees for treatment of diseases is then covered by the insurance system, with the enrollee paying the
remaining 30%. In addition, as aid, \500 per month from the time of enrollment in the insurance system until
March of the following year will be provided. Furthermore, students who have informed the school of their
enrollment in the national health insurance system will be automatically registered in the Overseas Student
Medical Expenses Assistance System, which will pay as aid 80% of the medical expenses actually paid. However,
the payment of such aid shall be made approx. 2 months after an application for aid has been submitted.
The amounts shown are for students living within Osaka City. For students living in other regions, slightly more
or less may be necessary.

*2 Since this insurance is to enable everyone to pass their student time in Japan without worry, it will guarantee
payment if you have an accident or are injured while studying in Japan, or if you accidentally damage the room
you are renting and need to pay damage liability to the owner.
